Forest Measurements book

Forest Measurements by Thomas Eugene Avery (Author), Harold Burkhart (Author). This text is meant for introductory programs in forest measurements. The emphasis is on the measurement of timber, with detailed coverage on measuring products reduce from tree boles, measuring attributes of standing trees, inventorying volumes of forest stands, and predicting the progress of particular person timber and stands of trees. Background information on statistical strategies, sampling designs, land measurements, and use of aerial pictures is also provided. An introduction to assessing range, wildlife, water, and recreation resources related to forested lands comprises the final chapter. The measurement principles and methods mentioned apply to any inventory that features assessment of the tree overstory, regardless of whether or not the inventory is carried out for timber, vary, wildlife, watershed, recreation, or other management objectives.

I purchased this e-book for my Forest Mensuration class and it works great. I do not know what the instructor is blabbing about half the time however If I’m going read the book it makes it straightforward to follow. I do not want to pay this much for a text e book but this was the cheapest place to get it. My college bookstore wanted 200.
