Earth to Earth by Ltd. PQ Blackwell (Author), Martin Hill (Author). My images are made with the identical sunlight that powers all the earth’s residing systems. –Martin Hill
* Reminiscent of the internationally greatest-promoting Earth from Above, Martin Hill’s Earth to Earth transforms the fantastic thing about on a regular basis objects found in nature and elevates them to ecological art.
Ecology is a science that’s getting into its Renaissance as points of worldwide warming, greenhouse emissions, and ozone depletion make their way from scientific debates and newspaper headlines to household breakfast tables. Environmental photographer Martin Hill and challenge collaborator Philippa Jones go to distant areas across the globe to create a surprising array of evocative images that signify a visual circle of life selling ecological sustainability and responsibility.
In addition to an eloquent introduction by Sir Edmund Hillary, ecologically minded quotes and details seem all through the collection:
* Each day more photo voltaic vitality falls to the earth than the entire quantity of energy the planet’s six billion inhabitants would eat in 25 years.
* What use is a home if you haven’t received a tolerable planet to place it on?
On Earth to Earth Hill presents greater than 70 transcendent 4-shade images that seize photos of natural items present in nature, which he then transforms into exquisitely intricate sculptural masterpieces. Prior to leaving each location–whether at the top of a snow-covered mountain or on the sand-blown shores of a windy seaside–Hill ensures that every website is left exactly because it was found.
I enjoyed this book. The pictures are excellent and the quotations are quite appropriate and thought provoking. For those who benefit from the Earth Art of Andy Goldsworthy then you will enjoy this e-book and Martin Hill’s work as well. The round themes in Mr. Hill’s works remind us that we are all part of an ongoing cycle. I bought the Kindle edition and am glad I did. I can take it wherever and refer again anytime I want a breather from the hectic tempo of the city. For followers of Earth Art this e-book is a should buy!!
One hundred ninety pages of ‘art inspired by nature`s design’…and it’s inspiring, many lovely pictures of works made with nature of the ephemeral kind…all made in the setting/landscapes. Writing by Martin and associate Philippa Jones as well as others. Balanced stones and sticks, circles and balls, ice and snow, leaf, fern, feather, clay, shells and more all sculptured into unique works and introduced in high quality photographs.
A pleasant e book for the character lover.
